Legendary sites to visit from early May to early November, depending on weather conditions: the Montenvers Train and the Mer de Glace, the Aiguille du Midi, the Lac Blanc hike and Mont Blanc, will allow you to admire from all angles the highest peak in the Alps culminating at 4,810 meters, Mont-Blanc.
The charms of the mountain in winter
Located 30 km from Megève, discover exceptional ski areas: Servoz, Les Houches, Chamonix, Argentière and Vallorcine, frequented by great champions and known to international skiers. You'll enjoy a multitude of slopes, situated between 1,030 m and 3,300 m altitude, for all levels in very varied settings: wide slopes, tree skiing, or even backcountry skiing.
Gain altitude on the Brévent and Flégère slopes facing due south, opposite the Mont-Blanc range; on the Grands-Montets slope, overlooking the village of Argentière or the Balme-Vallorcine area, at the top of the valley, on the Swiss border. Chamonix also has 3 valley floor areas, ideal for children and learning winter sports.
Not far from Chamonix, on the other side of the valley, the Les Houches resort (situated between 950 m – 1,900 m altitude) is easily accessible via the Bellevue cable car or the Prarion gondola from the village, but also by the legendary Mont-Blanc Tramway from Fayet (580 m) or Saint-Gervais (820 m).
